...then it all blows up in my face.
These days I really don't understand people. If they don't see it on the TV or on the internet they don't care. How far and hard do you have to reach out to people for help? I'll admit it, I had a nervous breakdown this past week and called nine people crying. Not one picked up...or even returned my phone call. One texted me back, I responded and have yet to hear back from them even though I poured my heart out. How can someone that not only you call a friend, but they call you a friend as well, not even respond? If someone I barely knew reached out to me in need, I'd make an effort to help. I guess that may just be it, no one wants to make the effort anymore. It's so easy to hide behind devices and distance.
How have we become so disconnected from our true neighbors? Why is it easier to sit in a room with some people and text those that aren't there, instead of spending time with the ones you ARE with? I know, I know, I'm guilty of this as well, but I promise you...it's something I'm working on.
It all leads back to this -
